Big 5 is selling Steyr M95's for $89.

Anyone know about these rifles? Like in, are they any good or just milsurp junk?

Here is some info from Wikipedia.... link

Here is some more detail info on the carbine, across several pages, at SurplusRifle.com... link

Like anything else coming from the former Eastern Bloc I'd say give it a good going over. Depending on the caliber the ammo might be a little scarce.

After a bit of research I believe I will pass on this rifle. The word is that tough guys can take about 5 shots before they quit with shoulder pain and ammo, when you can find it, is expensive. It's OK for a mil-surp collector but not for casual shooting.

Sounds similar to my 8MM Mauser. After 100 rounds, you were sore for a few days. I'm sure a recoil pad would have helped, but it was just way more of a cannon than was practical.
